Webelos BB Gun & Archery Days
September 21 or 22 (2 separate events, no patch). BB & Archery Days were designed to help Webelos earn the BB Gun or Archery Sports Pin. This is a long day activity concentrated in either BB Guns or Archery. You will spend the entire day on that one event and should earn the Sports Pin before leaving camp. There are no other activities going on these days. Lunch and all program equipment will be provided. Please do not bring your own shooting equipment (guns, bows, arrows, etc). You must choose either BB Guns or Archery for the day you are at camp. there will be no time to do both in one day. You can qualify for the new Camp Nicol Archer and Marksman awards.
Cost for this event is $20 per Scout and 1 adult partner. Additional adults are $10 each. Program will begin promptly at 10am and will run until about 4pm. There is only room for 15 in each session so get your reservations in early!
Fall Color Hikes
September 28 or 29th (separate events). This is an excellent opportunity to spend a day with your family or Den, watching the fall colors changing. There will be staff available to lead hikes or you may take a hike on your own. Staff led hikes will depart at 10am, 12 noon and 2pm. These hikes will last approximately 2 hours. All hikers must depart on any hike by 3pm. Please do not arrive after 3pm. All participants will need to bring a sack lunch, patch and snacks will be provided. All hikes will depart from the Jack Nicol Cub Camp Office at the Ben Delatour Scout Ranch. Please bring a water bottle and some rain gear.
Cost for Fall Color Hikes is $5 per person ages 4+, children 3 and under are free.
October 11-13, 18-20, 25-27
This is a family camping or Den camping weekend. ALl activities take place on Saturday, but families and Dens are invited to camp Friday and/or Saturday night. You must provide you own camping equipment, the tents at Camp Nicol are not up in the fall.
Activities begin on Saturday including BB Guns, Archery, Wrist Rockets, a hike to the old grave site, crafts, pumpkin carving, disc golf, a costume contest, and our famous Haunted Castle. Activities are age appropriate for most age levels. Bring the entire family!
Meals are provided on the following schedule: All get lunch and dinner on Saturday. If you check-in on Friday by 9pm, you will get a Breakfast on Saturday. If you stay Saturday night, you will get a continental breakfast on Sunday. Saturday program begins at 10am.
All participants will receive a patch.
Cost for the haunted weekends is $25 per youth (4-17) and $10 per adult (18+). Children 3 and under are free.
Tiger Cub Adventure Days
October 5 or 6 (separate events)
This opportunity is open to all newly registered Tiger Cubs and their Partners. It is a fun filled day at Jack Nicol Cub Scout Family Camp. Activities include BB Guns, Wrist Rockets, Archery, Arts & Crafts, Disc Golf, nature and more!
Cost is $5 per person (youth and adult) and will include lunch and a patch at the end of the day.
Saturday October 6: Registration begins at 9am, program begins at 10am. Lunch will be served from 12 noon to 1pm. All programs will be completed by 4pm.
Sunday October 7: Registration begins at 10am. Lunch will be served from 12 noon to 1pm. Program begins at 1pm and will be completed by 4pm.
